Thank you for participating in this year edition of SZCZUPAK CUP MORAN POWIDZ 2022 on May 19-22, 2022.
We are glad to present the official winners of the General Classification that is the hunters of the biggest pikes:
1. Maciej Kononiczak – a 109 cm long pike
2. Arkadiusz Wolnik – a 107 cm long pike
3. Hubert Machnowski – a 101 cm long pike
In the additional classification called Most Effective Angler, Mr Dariusz Wawrowski, the member of the local angling association “Stowarzyszenie Wędkarski Powidz,” won for a second time in a row. He caught in total 6 pikes of total length of 372 cm – twice as many as the next competitor.
All the biggest pikes were caught in the 1st round of the competition on Friday, May 20. Both high level of competitors’ skills and favourable weather conditions contributed to the effective catches. The sun covered occasionally by small clouds, light west wind, and rising atmospheric pressure stimulate pikes to bite.
As every year, the competition culminated with the evening gala with the formal conclusion of the competition, during which the winners and numerous competitors received wonderful cups and prizes founded by the sponsors. The final meeting at the end of the competition was accompanied with colourful artistic performances. The party with a delicious menu lasted until dawn and we do hope that all participants will remember it for a long time.
