The Piast Route

...visit the most interesting places in the vicinity

An extraordinary tourist trail full of attractions and interesting monuments you must see. The Piast trail passes through the Wielkopolska region and the Kujawy region.

It covers the area of the Poznań and Gniezno Lake District, full of extensive lakes created in the glacial period.

The most interesting attractions of the Piast Route:

  • Gniezno Narrow-gauge Railway - here you will go for a ride in a historical narrow-gauged railway, which nowadays is used in such events as the Bigos Express during the day of the WOŚP finals, Noc Świętojańska z Ciuchcią (Midsummer Night event) and the Roasted Tater Day.
  • Royal Coronation in Gniezno - outdoor party, organised every year at the end of July. During the Coronation, you will see stage adaptations of the most important events in the life of the first rulers of Poland and you will participate in the Archery Tournament for the Golden Pouch of the Gniezno Stronghold.
  • Powidz Landscape Park and the historical monuments of Powidz- That's where the Moran****SPA Hotel is located, next to the greatest lake in Greater Poland - the Powidz Lake. Friendly atmosphere, close proximity to nature and plenty of attractions attract tourists from all around Poland.
  • The Horse Stud in Mieczownica -  Only 20min from the Moran****SPA Hotel is the stud farm, where you can learn how to ride a horse or go for a carriage ride. You can also rent a horse and go on a solitary trip around the neighbourhood.
